As a dental hygienist, I am dedicated to helping my patients achieve a healthy smile and helping those with dental anxiety overcome their fears. This is accomplished through gentle cleanings, charting, and education about good oral health habits. Family is very important to me, and I feel as though my coworkers have become more than just that; they are like my extended family. I love all sports, especially volleyball and soccer, and the outdoors, including camping, snowmobiling, and dirt biking. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our dog, Kena.
For many years, I have helped people improve and maintain their oral health through dental prophylaxis, home care education, and periodontal assessments and education. While I’ve only been with Dr. Scarborough’s office for six years, my decades of experience has let me to have excellent communication with patients. I understand the importance of listening to their concerns and helping them to understand their treatment options. I am married with four adult children. I enjoy traveling, cooking, visiting with family, reading, and camping or playing on a river. I’m also on the parent advisory board at my children’s former grade school and I am active in my church.
I love what I do as a dental assistant. It’s so much fun to work with such a diverse group of people all day long, and to interact with so many wonderful patients. I can be found alongside Dr. Scarborough, assisting him with patient procedures, and making sure each patient feels as comfortable as possible. Most of all, I love learning new things every day, being busy, and having fun! I got married July of 2013 and have a wonderful family. I was born in Russia and moved to the U.S. at the age of 12; I am fluent in Russian.
I love to serve and take care of people in need, so working in dentistry is a perfect fit! I am here to ensure our patients are greeted with a smile, are comfortable with their care, and are knowledgeable about their treatment options. I really enjoy meeting new people and building relationships with them. When I have free time, I love the outdoors, including swimming, camping, four-wheeling, volleyball, and traveling.
I always knew I wanted to go into the healthcare field. I enjoy seeing people being able to smile and appreciate the easy, pain-free, affordable dental work that is done in this office. It’s gratifying for me to see our patients’ progress from beginning to end and helping them throughout the process. I have three wonderful children and four grandchildren. I am also a newlywed and a lover of all animals, especially cats.
